I realize it’s been awhile since I posted a look or anything at all but so much has happened this past month preventing me from blogging. I took a trip to San Diego, when I returned I had to make up hours lost at work, then school started and this past week hurricane Irma. Before all these events I experienced so many issues trying to get this post up. For about two weeks I tried getting this up and for some reason all the pictures were losing quality when I uploaded them to the media folder. I literally tried everything I could, resized them, re-uploaded them a couple times, used other formats. I even had my friend Kathy (Kreadivmisfit, go follow her she’s the bomb!) try to help me but we couldn’t figure out any other ways to fix the issue. As time passed by I kind of gave up and got a little discouraged so I gave it a rest.
During the few weeks of trying to get this up I did a lot of reflecting about what kind of content I want to put out and I’ve been brainstorming a few new ideas. I don’t want to just pose for the camera, post looks and tell you guys what I’m wearing or where I’ve been. I created Kiaracol as a creative outlet and so far I feel like I’m falling short of putting out content I originally thought of creating. I have a few ideas I’m really excited about that I’ll work on in the upcoming weeks but I would absolutely love and appreciate if any of you could suggest any kind of content you guys would love to see from me. Write a comment at the end of this post, email me, slide in my dm’s 😉 hehe. Anything helps! Anyways, I’ll stop babbling for now. I hope everyone is doing well recovering from all the Irma disaster and that you are all safe and have power back ( I still don’t 😦 ) Hope you guys enjoy this simple look. Hasta luego mis amores!
I hope you understand the title now :p
I love this dress. Super comfortable and can be easily styled with other staple pieces. I styled it with a denim jacket and some sneakers to make it a casual look. The dress is currently out of stock in sizes S-L but add yourself to the waitlist:
I’ve had the denim jacket for quite some time now. The brand is Cherokee from Target, here are some similar ones:

And here are the shoes:

I don’t know why but I’ve always loved the idea of Summer, and sun, and all things hot… (High five if you recall where thats from:D)Summer season officially started last week, unfortunately “sunny” Florida didn’t allow us to embrace that. You suck hurricane season! I don’t like the rain. It puts me in such a bad mood. Except when I’m home with nothing on my plate and I can just sleep to the sound of it, but thats highly unusual. For this shoot I had to take advantage of the first sunny day in how many weeks? Three was it? Insane if you ask me. Like the rest of us I have to suck it up and continue to get things done with an umbrella in my hand (and bag) at all times. This was an unusual location to shoot at but I spotted the vibrant orange tones from a mile away and knew I had to take my chances before the rain took over.
For this look I wore a hat, paired it with an off-the shoulder grey shirt, denim shorts and leopard print heels. My sister doesn’t like these shoes. She thinks they’re hideous and shrugged when she saw me wearing them (I still love you Brigitte!). The reason I’m mentioning this has a purpose, I promise. I remember years ago how I wanted others to like the things I wore. Not just friends and family but anyone in particular. It meant something to me. Gave me a feeling of satisfaction, validation. It greatly affected my self-esteem. I’m not ashamed to admit it. Thankfully as the years went by I came to the realization that it doesn’t matter what others think of your style. Style is never wrong, or right, style is you. Wear those super high platforms, the purple lipstick, the unicorn headband (saw a girl wearing this at the BlogHer conference) and just rock it! Its okay if some people don’t like it, not everybody has good taste… LOL just kidding!! But seriously, what you consider style might not be to someone else and that is perfectly okay. Don’t follow the trend, be your own trend. Wear what you like, when you like and never give it any second thoughts.
Hat is from Billabong. I couldn’t find the same exact color but I was able to find it for you guys in black. Here is the link:
Shirt is from Fashionnova and shorts from Tilly’s (couldn’t find both) and shoes from UrbanOg. Also went out of stock but here are similar ones:

I hope you guys enjoyed this look!
I hope everyone had a marvelous week and Mother’s day weekend. I’d been meaning to get this look up for about a week but things just kept getting in the way and thats totally okay. Life happens! Now that schools over I’m finally taking my first summer off since I graduated high school and I’m going to focus a lot of my time working on more blog posts and of course, myself. For some time I’d been beating myself up for not doing more. Taking more classes this semester so I can get closer to that finish line, creating more looks, working more hours, exercising as much as I used to. My anxiety was trough the roof and I couldn’t help the feeling of disappointment. Thankfully, I’ve slowly came to the realization that at times we need a break. Life is all about balance. Sometimes its perfectly okay and even necessary to sit back. We can do more by sometimes doing less. Take a few days off work, plan a vacation with your loved ones however brief or inexpensive, or pack your bags and set off on an adventure on your own and free your mind from the every day responsibilities that might take away from your happiness and serenity. When you exercise and train, the most important day is rest day. It gives time for your muscles to recover so you can get back to doing what you do stronger and more efficiently. I believe its the same with life. So don’t beat yourself up too much, do your best and learn to rest, not quit. I hope you guys gain a little inspiration and if not, thank you for stopping by and reading up to this point either way. Have a great day and enjoy this look
The shirt pictured below is a similar one I found to the one I wore. I bought it months back and I can’t seem to remember where I got it from. At first I tied it but later realized it looked much better tucked in. The leggings are from Forever 21 and unfortunately just went out of stock this week but if you head to the site they have a great variety of leggings that look fairly similar to the ones I wore. The heels are lace-ups(my favorite) from Call It Spring. Looking forward to styling them with a dress or skirt. And thats it, simple yet classy. Once again thank you for stopping by. Hasta luego!
