Pants That Make You Want To Dance

Have you ever worn a pair of pants that you never want to take off? Well, meet mine! These pants make me want to twirl and dance all day long.  I had such a hard time styling this look. Looking for the perfect shirt to wear with these pants was not an easy task. I tried a tank top, a bell sleeve top, a tube top. It was between this one and the tube, but you can never go wrong with black, so I chose this one. What do you think about the way it turned out? I wasn’t going to share this look with you guys, but since Florida wants to ruin all of our plans and I haven’t had the chance to shoot any looks, here it is! Who remembers last Summer? It literally rained every week non stop and I’m praying it won’t be like that this time around. I hope you guys have been getting a productive week in. Until next time.Divider-flame-redIMG_5456IMG_5457IMG_5459IMG_5453IMG_5455IMG_5469 2IMG_5464IMG_5465IMG_5528IMG_5529facetune_11-05-2018-13-32-21.jpgIMG_5533Facetune_11-05-2018-13-31-13IMG_5530IMG_5538.JPGFacetune_06-04-2018-14-51-50 2Facetune_06-04-2018-14-52-29 3IMG_5543IMG_5544IMG_5546Facetune_06-04-2018-14-53-59 2

Cruisin

Have you ever been on a cruise?

If you haven’t, this is your cue to go book one for this Summer. When you think of vacation, you think of doing nothing but relaxing. A cruise lets you do just that. You wake up and go on about your day without having to worry about where to eat, how to get somewhere or what to do, and though I absolutely love and appreciate all of that when traveling, a little break from it was much appreciated. I went on a seven day cruise with my boyfriend, my aunt, two of my cousins and Logan (my cousins husband). It was always a dream of mine to go on a trip with my cousins, and though one of them was missing, I’m so thankful I finally got to do it. I forgot how much fun a cruise could be. The first time I ever went on one was on the Carnival with my parents for my Godsisters birthday when I was fifteen.

This time around we went on Norwegian. The cruise stopped in three different locations: The Bahamas, Jamaica and Grand Cayman. Everyone kept telling me seven days would be too much, that I would dread it. Little did I know it was too short and I never wanted to leave the ship. The time flew right past me. Theres so many things to do, so if you ever choose to go with the Norwegian cruise line let me give you some tips.

IMG_5924IMG_5940

First and foremost, I’m not sure if many other cruise lines do this, but when you arrive the very first thing they do is take your bags. Just as in airlines, I don’t check in my nice luggage because it cost me a lot and I’m afraid it will come back wrecked. I panicked for a quick minute, but remembered I was on vacation and nothing would ruin my trip. So make sure to pack smart and use your least favorite suitcase. The boarding process was very simple. When going on a cruise, always make sure to bring a passport or birth certificate.

IMG_6016IMG_6013

On the very first day after boarding we drank and explored some parts of the boat. If you get the drink package it is unlimited drinks at any bar except for Margaritaville.  You can choose to leave tips at the end of the trip or tip when you please. Another thing, they charge you service fees every day, which you can choose to pay at the end as well. I suggest before boarding the ship to call the cruise line and get as many details as possible. We failed on that part. We went the entire time not knowing most of the shows had to be reserved. By the time we found out most of them were sold out. Take some time to research the amenities and excursions the boat offers as well so you are familiar with the boat, it will help you plan your days more accordingly (if you like planning that is). We didn’t plan much, except what times we would meet and where because there is no cell-phone service and to purchase the Wifi package it is $200. I was more than happy being disconnected, it was exactly what we all needed and I suggest if you go on a cruise to do the same. You will appreciate your vacation a lot more.

IMG_5977IMG_5982

Our first stop was Nassau, Bahamas. I had already been before but I enjoyed it much more this time around. We went to the beach, rode jet skis, banana boat, and got drunk, you can see the end result down below lol. The cruise offers excursions, make sure you familiarize yourself with that as well because they fill up quick. For the Bahamas we got a taxi to the beach and spent the day there.

IMG_6037 2Facetune_22-04-2018-11-13-12 2Facetune_22-04-2018-11-11-33 2IMG_6040IMG_6115IMG_6134

Next stop was Ocho Rios, Jamaica. The excursions offered by the cruise are really expensive, but if you choose to go with tours or excursions offered outside of the boat please be really careful. The only excursion we chose offered by the cruise was the River Dunn Falls. They provide transportation to the river and back to the boat. The falls were so much fun, we climbed all the way from the very beginning to the top. You are required to wear water shoes and make sure to store away anything that is valuable because theres a very big chance you will lose it if you’re not careful enough, and ladies, you will get wet! I think I almost died twice!

We took a taxi from the falls to the Bamboo Beach club. The beaches in Jamaica are breathtaking. We didn’t explore as much as I would have liked to but I’ll definitely be going back some day in the future.

Heres my sexy man 😉

IMG_6781IMG_6607 2IMG_6689 2IMG_6027

In between stops theres Sea days, where you spend the entire day on the boat. Man did I eat on this trip. Theres so many restaurants to pick from with exquisite options, and a buffet that offers breakfast, lunch, snack times and dinner. As I said before, familiarize yourself with what is going on. Theres so many events and things going on you’re sure to miss out on a lot of things. We didn’t even know it was Captains night until two hours before it begun.

IMG_6194

Our last stop was Grand Cayman. This time around we didn’t choose an excursion from the boat. At every port when you disembark, its swamped with locals offering excursions and tours. We chose Stingray City and saved about $60 each. They took us snorkeling and we got to see exotic fish and stingrays. My cousin and I thought we could make it work without floats, but we almost drowned. The currents are really strong from what I hear, so don’t commit the same mistake we did. After snorkeling they took us to Sting Ray City. Its a series of shallow sandbars where Stingrays reside and you can play, swim and interact with them.

I was low key scared of them as you can see lol but it was a remarkable experience.

IMG_7574IMG_7570IMG_7572IMG_7045IMG_6991

We visited the Seven Mile beach afterwards and the ambiance was phenomenal. This beach is voted “The Caribbeans Best Beach” and you can see why as soon as you arrive. We made some friends on this cruise named Samuel and Marco (Hi if you guys are reading this, can’t wait to visit you!) and they told us how this island is pretty expensive but totally worth it. Again, I didn’t get to explore much but Grand Cayman is now on my list of islands I want to explore. On a cruise, theres not much time to do a lot of things. But I love the beach so I was more than happy with relaxing most of the time instead of taking tours which take up most of your time.

IMG_7346IMG_7347

I have to say Norwegian exceeded my expectations. A few more tips, when you leave your room try to leave things behind specially if you’re drinking. I lost my phone and my camera on different times, lucky me people were nice enough to return them to lost and found at customer service. The only bad thing I have to say  about this cruise is the staff was not the greatest during our trip. Though you had your share of really nice employees, most of the ones we encountered were rude and very unwelcoming. I didn’t experience this on the Carnival, but considering everything else was phenomenal I would choose Norwegian again in the future. Its always been a dream of mine to go on Royal Caribbean, so thats next! I hope you guys found this somewhat helpful, and if you have any questions feel free to contact me and ask me anything, I’d be more than happy to help. Now go on, book a cruise, you won’t regret it (this is not sponsored) have an amazing week and

Happy 1 Year To My BLOG

HAPPY 1 YEAR TO MY BABY!

2603082yyg91qdz3qOne year, one year since I decided to embark on this journey. Its been an incredible one thus far. When I first started blogging I thought about doing it as just a hobby. Now, its become one of my passions. I’ve truly grown with this blog. I’ve learned new things about myself, gotten the chance to meet amazing people and done things I never imagined I would. Growing up I have always loved fashion and enjoyed writing and now I’m getting to do it for myself and though I regret not having done it sooner, I am thankful that I decided to go for it and put my insecurities to rest when I did. This year, I definitely want to do more with this blog. For the first year I told myself I would just take it easy and put out as much content as I possibly could. But the reality is I work a full time job, I’m a full time student and a social life.. I have to say the hardest part about blogging has been balancing my time and trying to shoot, edit, write and plan upcoming content while still doing all the other things in my life that are important as well. Don’t ever let anyone tell you that you should quit your 9-5 (4-11 in my case) to follow your dreams. This job actually supports my dreams, and other things I would’t be able to do (like travel) that are part of it.

Before I started blogging, my goal has always been to become a Physician Assistant. For as long as I can recall, that was the plan. I never really considered what I liked doing versus what I wanted to do. Ever since I was a kid I have always been creative, hands on. I would create dance choreography’s with my cousins and put on shows in front of our family, we would come up with plays, and I loved creating art for my parents. The craziest thing is my mother was into sewing her own garments and I would use her fabrics and create looks with my sisters. These are all things I overlooked growing up. I took Biology and I thought that was it. The health industry was what I was meant for and I buried all my interests in art and fashion. I took a fashion/jewelry class and my instructor tried to tell me I should pursue something more creative rather than medicinal and I didn’t listen. In AP Literature I discovered how much I enjoyed writing, and that I buried that as well. I had two teacher/mentors, Mrs. Gomez and Mrs.Hernandez, and when I told them what degree I was pursuing they didn’t approve. They said I was meant for more.

Creating this blog has rekindled my love for the creativity in my heart. When I got to UCF and started pursuing my degree in Health Sciences I became unmotivated. I felt like something was missing, I didn’t enjoy what I was learning nearly as much as I thought I would. Which is why I have yet to graduate. Before I started blogging, I was not as determined as I once was so I decided to take less classes. I didn’t want to risk my grades because of my uncertainity. I wasn’t talking to anyone about it because I didn’t want to disappoint. I felt like everyone had this vision of me making it and becoming a doctor (because my parents never knew the difference between a PA and a doctor lol) and I didn’t want to take that away from them. But I learned that it does not matter what anyone thinks. What matters is that you’re happy and you pursue the things that make your heart beat faster when you talk about them. I am thankful I came to realize this so soon, some people are not as lucky. I started blogging not knowing or expecting anything from it. In the back of my head I knew I had to do something creative for myself, and in doing so I’ve learned maybe the health industry isn’t for me.

But heres the thing, knowing myself and knowing that I change my mind a lot and that I am human and I do make mistakes, I’m finishing up my degree because I do still enjoy science. The reason I was pursuing this career in the first place is because its always been one of my dreams to help other people, and what better way to help them in a career that I enjoy studying. I became unmotivated because perhaps I was lacking passion, vision, and blogging set light to all those things. At this point, I don’t know which one I want to make my career. And that is completely okay. I am only 22, I’m still learning things about myself, I’m growing and will continue to do so. I am in no rush to have it all figured out. I know God has a plan set out for me and this year is about trying to find out what that is. God will allow the right things to come in his timing. For now I am putting my trust in him, investing and working on bettering myself and I’m letting him handle the rest.dividerIMG_5096 2IMG_5098IMG_5099IMG_5100IMG_5111IMG_5106IMG_5102IMG_5095 2IMG_5093 2IMG_5069 2IMG_5068 3IMG_5067 2IMG_5063IMG_5064IMG_5088IMG_5085

Hello Spring!

Happy first day of Spring guys! What a beautiful day to bring in the new season (not). I’m so excited to change up my wardrobe and transition my outfits into more pastel colors. The upcoming trend for Spring 2018 and Summer are pastel hues, and specifically colors like lilac or lavender. Though the color is beautiful I don’t know how I would style it on myself. I’m currently looking into buying some lilac pieces to style this season so lets see if I warm up to it and pull it off. Funny story, I just moved to a new house and the walls in my room are lilac. I had so much going on at the time I didd’t get the chance to paint the walls another color which I was planning on, but now I really like it.

Light-pink-hand-drawn-divider_6-line

Let me know what kind of Spring looks/blog posts you guys would like to see! This was the first Spring season look I did and its one of my favorites  that I’ve done so far. I decided to style this entire look based on this straw-looking bag I scored for three-dollars at Goodwill. Talk about a steal. It has this beautiful bamboo handle and it has different color details all over it. I wish I would have taken a close-up to show you guys how amazing the condition I found it in is, but you guys will definitely see more of it. I’d been on the hunt for some pearl jeans and thank GOD for Target for always coming trough. All the other ones were fifty-dollars or more and I don’t like to go over budget when it comes to shopping so that was a big no-no for me. Though I am trying to buy more quality pieces I wouldn’t spend more than forty-dollars on one piece at the moment. I paired these jeans with a simple white over the shoulder shirt and some nude-heels. When I bought these heels I was contemplating on buying the other color option which was lilac. Now I wish I would have gotten them  should I get them in that color? Whatchu think? We shall see. Pero bueno my loves, I’m gonna end it here. I hope you guys have an amazing week and an amazing Spring season. Hasta la proxima!

Bye-Bye Winter!

As if I didn’t have enough on my plate and so many things planned, life decided to reward me with a cold. For the past three days I’ve been resting and drinking as much tea and vitamin C as possible. I had so much planned for the weekend and this week. Shoots, blog posts, getting items up on Poshmark to sell, catching up on my online courses. Why is it when were ready to persevere that things get even harder? As much as I love this cold weather, I need it to disappear so I can get better. This year has been one of the worst when it comes to colds, flus, illnesses and the weather itself. Even though Spring is just a matter of days away, make sure you guys are still taking precautions to keep yourselves from getting sick. I had already gotten sick earlier this year therefor I thought I was safe from the cold. Oh was I wrong. I cannot wait for Spring. Here is  a look I shot a while back of one of my last Winter looks when I was feeling much better, since I was unable to shoot this weekend. I hope you all have a marvelous week and I pray you don’t get sick. Band Tees and Thigh Highs

Hai guys! Been too long since I posted. I’m not going to promise it won’t happen again (because LIFE) but I’m really going to try. Spring is making its way but its obvious Winter is not ready to let go. I’m not complaining though. These short random periods of cold weather can come and go as much as possible. Its nice getting a break from the scorching heat of Florida. First thing I do when it drops 20 degrees is take advantage of the weather to whip out my boots, coats and all winter gear that sits in my closet for the majority of the year. Recently I’ve been obsessing over graphic and band tees. And although I’ve started to shop less at stores like Forever 21 and trying to buy more quality pieces, Forever 21 is still one of my favorite stores carrying band tees. I’m thinking of doing a How To Style Band or Graphic Tees, let me know if that is something you’d be interested in seeing.I know Florida loves to troll us with the weather so I decided to pair this ACDC teeshirt with a coat that I could leave behind in case it got too hot. I paired it with shorts, thigh high boots and a beanie making this look easy to adjust in case of a mid weather change which we all know is always a possibility.  A lot of people think Winter is over but Spring doesn’t start until March 20th and I cannot wait, the countdown starts now. Spring is my favorite season along with Fall, actually I think all of them are except Winter, but sadly in Florida you learn to warm up to Winter(hehe) because its basically Summer all year long. Anywho, Happy International Women’s day to all my sistas out there. I hope you all have a fantastic rest of the week. Good-Bye 2017!

Hai guysss,

I’m more than sure I am not the only one who felt this year fly right past us. It was a bittersweet one with lots of ups and downs but I learned so much, I grew, and I realized many things. I started my blog, met so many amazing new people, got to travel to so many wonderful destinations including my first international trip and I got a new job.

Amongst the many things I realized this year I realized I was holding myself back. This year was all about letting the seeds start to sprout and identifying the ways I was stomping on my garden before giving it a chance to grow. In 2018 I am going to thrive in my garden. I am so excited for this new year and I feel exciting things happening and coming along. I hope you all have an amazing holiday today and stay safe, unfortunately I’ll be at work but honestly I couldn’t be more grateful for the opportunities God placed in my way this past year. A big THANK YOU to those of you who have shared this journey with me so far and took the time to read my posts and give me feedback. I wish you all a HAPPY NEW YEAR and God bless you and your families. newyeardrinksProcessed with VSCO with l4 presetProcessed with VSCO with 4 presetProcessed with VSCO with 4 presetProcessed with VSCO with a4 presetProcessed with VSCO with a4 presetProcessed with VSCO with a4 presetProcessed with VSCO with a4 presetProcessed with VSCO with j3 preset35CEE01B-F9C8-4075-9FDD-EF22FEB9FB8BProcessed with VSCO with j3 presetProcessed with VSCO with a4 presetProcessed with VSCO with j3 presetProcessed with VSCO with j3 presetProcessed with VSCO with 4 presetProcessed with VSCO with a4 presetProcessed with VSCO with m6 presetIMG_1753
