Wow, I can’t believe I’m sitting in front of my computer doing this again. I wrote my last blog post so long ago, one year and sixth months to be exact. What was meant to be a short break from blogging turned into the longest hiatus ever. All for the right reasons, because here I am, with a brand-new perspective and well, new everything. If you’re new around here, welcome. My name is Kiara Colombani, I’m 24, Puertorican, and live in what most like to say sunny Orlando, Florida, except in reality its cloudy and raining 85% of the time. If you’re one of my past readers, thank you so much for coming back. I appreciate you and I hope you enjoy the new content I’ll be putting out.
So, a little update since the last time I was around here… I’ve moved out of my parents’ home and got my own place with Danny, we got married, had kids and now live happily ever after… Ha, just kidding! We did get our own place, and I did graduate from the University of Central Florida with an Interdisciplinary Degree in Behavioral and Physical Sciences and a minor in Health sciences. I’m proud of that, but I’m not happy with it. Mainly because I feel like it was such a waste of time. I was very unhappy during that period of time. I felt uninspired and unmotivated to continue. I needed something to keep me going, so I turned to blogging. I blogged about things that brought me joy, fashion, food, travel, but still felt like something was missing, so I stopped (or the so-called break).
Alas, I moved into my own place and figured it out. Having the chance to design and decorate my own place was game changing in so many ways. I finally got to get hands on with something that sparked interest, and I fell in looooove. I can finally say I’ve found my niche. Well, scratch that, because I no longer believe in that crap. You know all those coaches and business mentors saying over and over again that you must find one niche and one niche only, here’s what I have to say… to hell with that! To narrow your scope is only narrowing your possibilities, and not being able to focus on just one thing isn’t a disadvantage, it’s a strength.
I’ve taken on different things like plants, and living a low-waste lifestyle. I’m learning about photography, and cooking. All things that you can learn about as well, with me, on this site. I am no expert in any of these, nor do I have any credentials (yet), but I promise to do my best to share with you all to the best of my abilities what I do know, what I have learned and what I will continue learning.
I’ve watched YouTube videos, read books, researched online. Everything I know most likely came from a book that’s now sitting as decoration accessory somewhere in my apartment. And that is why I’m here again. To combine my love for learning and my love for writing, and my newfound love for Interior Décor and to share all of that with you and more on this site. My sincerest hopes are that you learn something new and that you can apply even one thing into your own life, and that you leave my site feeling inspired. With that being said, thank you for coming by. Please leave me a comment telling me a bit about yourself, this time around I want to do better at getting to know each and every one of you personally, and I do hope you’ll stick around. I promise you won’t regret it. Until next time!
